Position Overview Lanarc Landscaping is growing and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Assistant Landscape Manager. The Assistant Landscape Manager must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of commercial landscape maintenance and installation including enhancement sales, design, customer service, estimating, fertilizing, irrigation, pesticide application, planting, etc. This position should be versed and knowledgeable of all aspects of turf and landscape maintenance, installation, and management. The Assistant Landscape Manager is willing learn and understand our business in order to grow to a larger role in the organization. This position is part of bench program to enter into sales or as a full time project manager. Crew Management Responsible for helping supervise multiple crews and projects On-site management, oversight and auditing of installation crews and work effort Forecasting workload quarterly and monthly, and establishing optimal maintenance schedules Weekly/daily scheduling of crews with collaboration from Sales Director and Landscape Manager Scope of Work Maintains complete and thorough understanding of all contracts and associated scope of work for each project. Ensures all crew members have thorough understanding of assigned project scope. Knowledge of turf installation Knowledge, and ability to perform, plant and tree installation Knowledge, and ability to perform, site grading with equipment Helps Manager manage all aspects of projects and crews. Supervises crews on-site as a foreman as need. Knowledgeable of weather current and forecasted, and makes decisions or changes to landscape workplan and crew schedule as needed Account Management Proactive issue resolution. Foresees obstacles or challenges, creates a plan to address, communicates transparently with crew, Owner and Sales/Operations Director for support and coordination. Manages billing for maintenance work on a weekly and monthly basis. Partners with the Office Manager for invoice administration of all completed billing. Manages and keeps up to date Maintenance Database including labor/material history, account contact information, project contracts and quality audit records. Weekly, Quarterly, Seasonal route scheduling as applicable Quality assurance and customer satisfaction Enhancements and contract renewals. Responsible for enhancement sales to clients. Processes all enhancements and ensures that they are priced and processed correctly. Attend all necessary project meetings for which we have contracts in place and actively participate to help resolve issues and keep Lanarc in best standing. Work with Home Builder’s HOA delegate during home building/home sale period. Keeps up to date with all key account critical dates/events including but not limited to parade of homes, home tours, school dates, church events, and other events that may be critical for the best appearance of maintained landscape.
Qualifications:
AA or BS in Turf Grass or Horticulture is preferred Minimum of five years (preferred) of experience in landscape maintenance in North Carolina region. Minimum of two years of experience managing, supervising, and scheduling employees. Licenses in Pesticides, Herbicides, and other landscape chemicals preferred. Thorough understanding of landscape maintenance and turf management. Clean North Carolina driving record and criminal record. Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain positive client relationships.
