Full Job Description Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Irrigation Supervisor to oversee and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems, commercial and residential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of irrigation technology and materials, water conservation practices, and team leadership. This role ensures that all irrigation systems operate efficiently and effectively to support the health of landscapes or agricultural environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day operations of irrigation crews and ensure timely completion of assigned projects. Plan and coordinate the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. Monitor irrigation schedules and adjust as needed based on weather, plant requirements, and water usage goals. Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, leaks, electrical issues, and faulty components. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure safety, productivity, and high-quality work standards. Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and system performance. Collaborate with landscape designers, estimators, engineers, project owners, and other departments to meet irrigation needs. Ensure compliance with all local water usage regulations and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; certification in irrigation or landscaping preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in irrigation installation and maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, pump, valve, and control systems). Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with smart irrigation controllers and water conservation technologies. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed. Standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
