Serving a diverse residential and commercial client base, they specialize in hardscape and softscape construction, planting, irrigation, and water feature installations throughout the region. As demand continues to grow, they are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lawn Care Team Lead to support and lead the delivery of their high-quality landscape projects.
Responsibilities:
Vehicles must always be cleaned daily and organized. Obtain equipment needed for implementation of daily schedule. Communicate with supervisor regarding client services, problems as they arise and additional service requests. Maintain production rate of 800 points. Responsible to turn in broken equipment and tag for mechanic then sign out borrowed equipment. Once equipment is repaired, turn borrowed equipment in and take back repaired equipment. Secure truck at offsite locations such as restaurants, vendors, etc. and secure at the end of every day. Lock and return keys to key box each day. The first week of each quarter, Team Leader I is responsible for the results of inventory control report (January, April, July, October). First week of each month, DOT reports are due to mechanic. Inspect team member’s work to ensure completion of all tasks at each jobsite. Provide excellence in customer service. Effectively train and coach team members on basic job functions. Attending ongoing training in-house and outside training to develop skills. Review daily paperwork for accuracy. Complete administrative paperwork as needed with effective daily communication with supervisor. Follow company procedures for clock in and clock out accounting for appropriate daily breaks. Fuel truck at the end of the day. Follow all company procedures, standards, safety policies and codes of conduct. Follow your team’s Duties & Responsibilities schedule. Natural debris needs to be placed in dumpster and compacted correctly daily. Ensure necessary maintenance of equipment – sharpening blades, changing oil, etc. Responsible for following up on problems that arise in the course of work and reporting to appropriate personnel for resolution. Miscellaneous tasks as needed or required. Qualifications Possesses a valid NC Driver’s License and is insurable by company insurance carriers. Ability to safely handle box trucks and truck and trailer combination Experience leading a lawn care team and extensive experience in the lawn care industry. Demonstrated ability for safe and proper operation of basic Lawn Care equipment including walk behind mowers, edgers, trimmers, blowers, and non-selective herbicide sprayers. Monitors and enforces all company safety policies/standards including PPE (personal protective equipment) use. Understands and can follow company emergency procedures such as cutting utility lines, employee injuries, property damage, etc. Takes responsibility and accountability for vehicle/equipment inventory, security, care & maintenance. Demonstrated ability to teach, guide by example and direct a crew of 1-3 team members. Demonstrated skill and ability in customer service/communication and interaction. Understands and can prepare accurate administrative paperwork. Is familiar with standard company & industry best management practices in the turf/grounds care field. Can identify basic common turf types and weeds in zone 7. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to work around bees, poisonous plants, pollen, and other environmental hazards. Must be able to work for long periods of physical activity, including but not limited to-bending, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling & squatting.
