You can use it here! We are seeking a General Manager to oversee daily operations, sales performance, team leadership, and customer service at a thriving garden and home retail site. This individual ensures the store operates efficiently and profitably, delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a healthy, vibrant retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management Oversee daily operations of the site, including inventory, merchandising, staffing, and facilities. Monitor and manage budgets, sales goals, expenses, and profitability. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and local/state laws. Sales & Customer Experience Drive sales through customer engagement strategies, seasonal promotions, and community outreach. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective team training and supervision. Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally. Team Leadership & Staffing Recruit, hire, train, and manage store staff, including seasonal workers. Develop work schedules and delegate responsibilities to ensure adequate coverage. Foster a positive team culture and lead by example in professionalism and work ethic. Inventory & Merchandising Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing. Oversee merchandising and presentation standards to ensure a visually appealing store layout. Marketing & Community Engagement Collaborate with marketing teams or manage local promotions to increase visibility and traffic. Build partnerships with local community. Plan and host in-store events, workshops, or seasonal promotions.

Qualifications:

5+ years of retail management or garden center/nursery experience preferred. Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant care, and seasonal products. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze data, and drive business results. Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in outdoor conditions. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
