Job Summary We pride ourselves on creating the best yards and lawns for our clients using topnotch landscaping designs, and with you as a dedicated landscaper on our team, we will continue to provide high-quality service. You will have the opportunity to use your creativity as you assist in bringing landscaping designs to life through planting, trimming and mowing, while also strategically placing lawn décor. You will nurture lawns and plants for our clients through watering, feeding and other necessary tasks to keep them healthy and looking great. Foster team unity as you work together to build new lawns and manage existing ones while also interacting with clients and using your excellent customer service skills to keep them happy. Position Summary The Crew Leader is responsible for directly supervising a crew while on the job site and ensuring the crew works safely and efficiently while delivering quality jobs on time. This position is responsible for developing and training crew members, planning, assigning and directing work, managing and maintaining material and equipment, and addressing and resolving customer issues. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager. Landscape Field Manager Responsibilities Prioritize projects, assign work tasks to crew members, procure required materials, file work orders and maintain written or electronic records of projects. Lead crew and participate in performing a wide variety of maintenance tasks such as removing trash, leaves, debris, and snow from facilities and public areas, repairing and maintaining public buildings and facilities, and maintaining public infrastructure. Lead crew and participate in performing street and sidewalk maintenance such as installing driveway pipe, patching asphalt or concrete, cleaning streets and storm drains, and related tasks. Instruct employees in proper work methods and standards; monitor crew work quality; ensure adherence to time schedules and safe work practices, provide performance feedback and input into performance reviews. Perform and lead crew on general maintenance tasks for public recreation areas, playground equipment, cemeteries, and ball fields. Seed, fertilize, and irrigate ball fields, parks, and other areas; prepare fields for athletic events. Lead crew and participate in planting shrubs and flowers, trimming trees and shrubbery, and performing related landscape tasks in parks, medians and at town facilities; apply pesticides for weed control. Locate and measure burial plots at cemetery; assist the public in locating or acquiring burial plots. Perform skilled work tasks at town facilities which may include carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Operate all equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks such as backhoe, motor grader, tractors, street sweeper, hand tools, and mowing machines. Perform equipment repair and maintenance duties. Assist with administrative tasks. Participates in stand-by status during natural disasters or inclement weather.

Skills & Abilities Qualifications:

Must be able to effectively communicate in English; bilingual in Spanish highly preferred. Ability to train others and exercise leadership skills. Demonstrates dependability; consistently at work and on time, responds to management direction and commits to the required hours for job completion that will vary based on weather/season. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to solve conflict while keeping emotions under control. Ability to plan, organize and direct a team in a manner that uses time efficiently. Has the aptitude to identify and act on opportunities to help and support work efforts of the team. Can safely operate and maintain all equipment used for landscape maintenance. Valid State Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Preferred qualifications:
