The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape construction, a passion for design, and the ability to lead and manage a team. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for ensuring that each project is completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities Project Management & Supervision:

Lead a crew of landscapers and hardscapers, ensuring the successful and timely execution of projects. Coordinate daily tasks and work schedules for crew members, assigning work based on project requirements and team strengths. Ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards and adheres to project specifications. Monitor progress and adjust work plans as necessary to meet deadlines and client expectations.

Installation of Hardscape Features:

Oversee the installation of hardscape features such as patios, retaining walls, driveways, walkways, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, water features, and other landscape structures. Ensure proper materials, tools, and equipment are used and that they comply with safety standards. Oversee excavation, grading, and site preparation for hardscape projects. Ensure that all drainage and irrigation systems are properly integrated into hardscape installations.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and ensure that the team is working in a safe environment, following OSHA guidelines and best practices. Identify and address potential hazards on the job site, ensuring safe operations at all times. Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and stored.

Communication & Client Relations:

Maintain clear and open communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Provide progress updates to clients and address any concerns or changes in the project scope. Ensure that client specifications are met and that projects are completed to their satisfaction.

Team Leadership & Training:

Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to crew members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to improve skills and efficiency. Address personnel issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure a strong team dynamic.

Qualifications:
Experience:

Minimum of [X] years of experience in landscape construction and hardscaping, with at least [X] years in a leadership or foreman role. Proven experience with hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape features.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of hardscape materials, tools, and installation techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and design plans. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure deadlines are met.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Comfortable working with construction tools and machinery, including compactors, saws, and other heavy equipment. Certifications (Preferred but not required): OSHA Certification. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Hardscape Installation Certification (e.g., ICPI or NCMA).
