The Landscape Materials Center Manager coordinates and manages daily activities of the retail materials center and warehouse facility. The Manager has working knowledge of landscape materials and supplies in order to guide customers with the selection process and to complete retail sales. The Manager presents a professional and positive attitude while maintaining a well-organized work environment. The Landscape Materials Center Manager also performs snow removal services on an on-call, as-needed basis during the winter season.

Employment hours:

• Monday
• Friday, 6:45 am
• 5:00 pm
• Saturday, 6:45 am
• 4:00 pm (seasonally)
• Reduced hours off-season
• On-call prior to, during, and after snow storms.

Job Requirements:

• Valid CDL
• B license.
• Verifiable, satisfactory driving record.
• Current DOT medical examiner’s certificate.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass pre-employment DOT drug test.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• 3-5 years experience operating front end loader and commercial dump truck.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Available to work Saturdays seasonally.
• Basic computer skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Snow removal experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain the retail store front, materials yard, and warehouse environment in an organized, clean, and safe manner.
• Manage the retail center by recommending and selling products and materials, processing customer orders, coordinating and scheduling delivery of materials. Process cash and credit card sales transactions using QuickBooks software, and complete daily paperwork.
• Exhibit professional telephone etiquette and skills. Possess a positive and professional attitude while conducting conversations with customers, communicating pricing and delivery information, and completing phone sales orders.
• Develop and maintain vendor/supplier relationships for ordering product and managing in
• bound deliveries and freight-in schedules.
• Operate front end loaders to load product into customer vehicles, trailers, and delivery trucks as required.
• Drive commercial dump truck to deliver product to customers’ home or business, unloading per customer instruction.
• Maintain company vehicles and related equipment.
• Be available for snow removal operations.

Perform all aspects of commercial snow removal including but not limited to: snow plowing, ice control applications, snow blowing and shoveling.
