OF POSITION

Reinigen Lawns is expanding and we are seeking an experienced landscaping foreman to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the weekly maintenance route is performed correctly, projects are completed to description, and clients expectations are met. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented professional who wants to play a key role on a winning team.

SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday and occasional weekends when needed. Monday through Friday shift starts at 7am and ends approximately 5pm. Please note if it is raining you will not be working an expected to work additional days in order to get the schedule back on track. During the off season (January through March) Reinigen Lawns performs snow removal and tree removal services and you will be scheduled when their is jobs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITES 1.

Lead 4 man crew during weekly maintenance for both residential and commercial properties. 2. Ensure all equipment is accounted for and in and working condition. 3. Assist crew members in completion of tasks (i.e. operating a weed whacker or lawn mower, installation of plants, removal of weeds) 4. Complete projects on time and under budget. 5. Manage on and off-site inventory. 6. Maintain a safe work environment. 7. Monitor equipment for maintenance service. 8. Dependable, shows up on time and works additional hours if needed to meet job deadlines 9. Work with Project Manager on site planning, scheduling and inventory orders 10. Must be able to train new employees on installation practices and techniques

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED 1.

An understanding of landscape terminology and plant materials 2. Ability to fluently speak, read and write English (All current employees can only speak English) 3. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. 4. Excellent verbal and written skills in order to communicate effectively and tactfully at all levels of company staff. 5. Strong knowledge of landscaping maintenance and equipment. 6. Ability to learn quickly and apply concepts to different related areas of work. 7. Ability to recognize and analyze problems, and develop solutions. 8. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and willingness to assist where necessary to meet goals of the company.

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 1. 5

Years minimum experience in the landscaping industry. 2. 2 Years minimum experience in a supervisor role. 3. A clean NYS Drivers License, class D or better. 3. NYSDEC 3a Technician or Applicators’ license a plus but not required. 4. Ability to drive a 15ft truck with 12ft trailer. 5. ISA- Certified Arborist a plus but not required.
