Assistant Golf Course Superintendent 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 4 Queens Folly Road, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928 This position is responsible for assisting the Superintendent at our Arthur Hills Course in supervising crew, dispersing daily crew work assignments, and participating in the maintenance of the golf courses. •Brand new 2-wire Toro Irrigation System installed 2023•Ensures golf course grounds are maintained at pristine, tournament quality conditions. Assists in supervising and training a crew of 20 plus employees. Maintains and directs repairs to irrigation system. Ensures that all fertilizer and pesticide applications are applied and recorded according to the product label. Operates and maintains golf course equipment when necessary. Follows all state and local safety Other duties as directed

Skills:

Extensive knowledge of turf, soil, fertilizers, pesticides, golf course equipment and irrigation technology. Possess strong communication skills and a strong sense of urgency. 2 or 4 year degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Facilities Maintenance Ability to work flexible schedule and long hours when necessary. Keen attention to detail SC Certified pesticide applicators license or able to obtain one within 60 days
