Gardening Assistant Position Available In Northwest Hills Planning Region, Connecticut

Gardening Assistant Whitetail Landscaping & Excavation 23 Route 7 N, Falls Village, CT 06031 Overview Join our garden crew in maintaining a variety of gardens and landscapes, ranging from high-end properties to public contracts, and small household gardens. We are currently hiring for 2025 season (April through November 2025). Duties Observing and monitoring plant and soil health in gardens Performing basic garden care tasks: weeding, watering, and deadheading Fertilizing, composting, and mulching beds Pruning trees and shrubs Removing leaves and cleaning up garden beds (fall focus) Maintaining tools, trucks, and work facilities Qualifications Valid driver’s license Physical strength and stamina (ability to lift 50+ lbs) Strong work ethic and efficiency in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team Able to take direction, learn systems, and see tasks through to completion Positive attitude and eagerness to learn At least 3 years of horticultural or landscaping experience This is an all-outdoor position—our work is rewarding but physically demanding, and we expect candidates to be comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Full-time, Seasonal Pay:

$18.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
