At Kent Greenhouse, a division of Hoffman Landscapes, you will work on our landscape enhancement projects for our high end residential clients in Litchfield and Duchess Counties. These projects include work orders outside of our design/build departments, and can include landscape installations, special prunings, masonry repairs, deer fencing, plant buying and more! Responsibilities:
Bed & lawn preparations, digging proper size holes for trees, shrubs, plants, laying sod & seed/hay Ensure all gas-powered tools are filled before leaving the yard Participates in in-house training Assists Crew Leader in keeping Yard, Vehicles and Properties Clean.
Qualifications:
The Successful candidate(s) will have a minimum of 0-2 years’ experience and the following skills: Experience planting trees, shrubs, plants Minimum – can understand, give, and receive basic information (single words spoken, sentence comprehension) in English and Spanish with Crew, Crew Leader, and Field Manager. Reliable transportation to and from work. Consistently on time to work with good attendance. Able to perform physical demands of the position including frequent bending, stooping, stretching; carrying tools or materials; Safely lifting and move 50 pounds regularly. Work outdoors in all [safe] weather conditions. Available to work overtime during peak season from March 15th – December 15th (Weather Dependent) Mid-Summer June-July Slower. Must be a hardworking, self-motivated, team-oriented individual that is able to perform independently without direct supervision. Must have valid driver’s license.
