Landscaping Kolb Landscaping 770 Green Hill Road, Madison, CT 06443 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves various tasks related to the upkeep and beautification of outdoor spaces, ensuring that gardens, lawns, and other landscapes are well-maintained and visually appealing. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. Utilize power tools and equipment safely for tasks such as tree trimming and shrub pruning. Dig and prepare soil for planting flowers, trees, and shrubs. Build and maintain garden beds, ensuring proper drainage and soil health. Assist in the installation of landscaping features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues or areas needing attention. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition through regular cleaning and minor repairs. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines. Qualifications Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to operate various landscaping equipment effectively. Familiarity with gardening techniques including planting, watering, fertilizing, and pest control. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients. A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation of equipment.
