The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves caring for various plants, maintaining gardens, and ensuring the overall health of outdoor spaces. The Gardener will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our grounds. Responsibilities Property planning for all seasons throughout the year Diagnose and resolve issues with irrigation, plant health, and other garden challenges Maintenance of property, lawn, grounds and gardens Maintenance of machinery, tools and operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various gardening tasks. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns. Conduct lawn care activities such as mowing, fertilizing, and aerating. Collaborate with team members on larger landscaping projects or seasonal planting initiatives. Monitor plant health and identify any pest or disease issues that may arise. Skills Knowledge of gardening techniques and landscape maintenance practices. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to gardening tasks. Good knowledge of perennial/annual plant care and maintenance Attention to detail and a passion for plant care Ability to identify plant diseases, pests, and other common issues Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well independently and in a team Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
