Golf Course Groundskeeper UNF Golf Complex Jacksonville, FL 32224
Job Purpose:
Support the daily upkeep of the UNF Golfplex 9-hole par-3 course and practice facilities by performing general maintenance, mowing, and grooming duties to ensure playability and visual appeal. Responsibilities Operate small equipment (triplex mower, roller, trimmers, blowers) Mow greens, tees, and rough per schedule Buffalo blow greens every other day Trim around bunkers, signage, and landscaped areas Maintain a clean maintenance area and equipment Report equipment issues to the General Manager Follow all safety protocols Be courteous to golfers and guests on site Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications 1-2 years of golf course or groundskeeping experience preferred Familiarity with mowing/trimming equipment is a plus (training provided) Strong work ethic and ability to follow schedules independently Reliable and punctual with attention to detail Able to work early mornings and weekends Work Environment Fully outdoors in various weather conditions Exposure to loud equipment, turf chemicals, and golf-related hazards Use of machinery with moving parts and sharp blades Physical Requirements Must lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequently Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push, and lift for up to 4 hours at a time Must be able to walk and work while operating light machinery Schedule 15-25 hours per week Preferred shift: 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM Weekend availability required (rotating basis)
