EDUCATION

: High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

EXPERIENCE

: One year working with various types of grounds maintenance equipment and Florida flora and fauna. Chemical Applicator Certificate is beneficial.

COMPETENCY

Attends and participates in classes, seminars, workshops and other continuing education as appropriate to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and/or job skills in all essential functions. If applicable, maintains competence in the provision of care and services to patients of the various ages and abilities served. Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities.

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Must be able to purchase parts and equipment for grounds keeping repair. Must be able to operate and maintain equipment for grounds keeping. Must be able to order, maintain, and install landscaping material for grounds keeping. Must be able to purchase parts and equipment for irrigation repair. Must be able to operate and maintain equipment for irrigation.

ADDL CONSIDERATIONS

Groundskeepers will be required to work occasional weekends, and overtime as required. Physical requirements will be standing, stooping, bending, lifting, climbing, reaching, pulling and pushing. Environmental exposure to heat, cold, rain, noise and dust. Exemption Status Nonexempt Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.; $20.00
