Description
The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Must possess excellent interpersonal andmunication skills
Must be highlyanized, efficient and detail oriented
Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course
Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance
Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
Must be dependable
Responsibilities:
Maintains clean andanized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
