Weeder-Pulling Assistant My Dragonfly Garden Oakland, FL 34740 Overview This is an entry-level position as a Florida Native Plants Gardener. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Weed Puller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and hand-crafted gardening/groundskeeping. This role involves working outdoors, using your hands and hand tools to ensure the upkeep of various gardens in between Minneola and The Villages. Depending where you live, we have other gardens in West Orange County. Experience working with Florida native plants will qualify you for a higher pay, but is not required. We offer a fuel allowance for every job and a tool allowance after 90 days. Training is available. Responsibilities Clear gardens from weeds Minor deadheading MInor cliping Utilize hand tools (no power tools) effectively for various gardening tasks Tidy up the area before leaving the site Take before and after pictures and videos Write a report for each job and upload it to the cloud while on the clock Be mindful about safety Skills Identify what is a weed -or not Write and speak fluent English Able to work with smartphone Apps Technology friendly Follow instructions Ability to effectively use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
