We’re currently seeking a passionate, experienced Gardener to join our growing team.
What We’re Looking For:
To qualify for this position, you must have hands-on experience working with Florida Native Plants and be able to identify most by common name (scientific names are a big plus). Whether your background is in fieldwork, plant science, or ecological gardening, we want someone who shares our passion and dedication to Florida’s natural beauty.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing essential garden services such as hand-weeding, hand-pruning, clipping, and seasonal cutbacks Monitoring plant health and identifying pests, diseases, or stress symptoms Maintaining cleanliness and organization in garden beds and pathways Offering basic plant care recommendations to clients as needed Using hand tools safely and effectively (we do not use power tools or chemicals) Writing brief service reports using your smartphone Assisting with installation projects, consultations, or garden resets (based on performance)
Qualifications:
Proven experience with Florida Native Plants or formal education in plant science/botany Supervisory experience is a plus and will be compensated accordingly Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physically fit: capable of lifting 40 lbs and working on your feet for extended periods Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Excellent time management and task prioritization skills
