The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces, ensuring that landscapes are healthy, well-kept, and safe for public use. This role requires a blend of physical labor, attention to detail, and mechanical knowledge to effectively manage various landscaping tasks. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns to ensure a neat appearance. Irrigate gardens and landscaped areas to promote healthy plant growth. Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment for various maintenance tasks, including snow plowing during winter months. Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees through regular pruning and care. Monitor the health of plants and landscapes, identifying any issues such as pests or diseases. Assist in the installation of new landscaping features as needed. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored after use. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Qualifications Previous experience in landscape maintenance or lawn care is preferred but not required. Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions. Familiarity with irrigation systems and techniques is a plus. Proficiency in using hand tools related to landscaping work.
