Tree Groundsman/Equipment Operator Pelor Outdoor Landscape Solutions 738 Duncan Avenue, Kissimmee, FL 34744 Role The Tree Groundsman / Equipment Operator is responsible for supporting daily tree service operations including tree removal, trimming, debris hauling, and safe equipment operation. This individual assists tree climbers by preparing the worksite, managing ground-level operations, and operating machinery such as loaders, lifts, and trailers. The Groundsman ensures all debris is removed safely, equipment is maintained, and safety procedures are strictly followed. This role is vital to high-quality work and timely project completion. Responsibilities Operate loaders, lifts, trailers, and other related equipment Drag and process limbs, logs, and debris safely and efficiently Load/unload materials, tools, and debris from trailers and trucks Clear the work area and assist in site setup and safety preparations Assist climbers by managing ropes and maintaining a safe drop zone Communicate clearly with climbers and crew leads regarding site conditions Perform daily inspections and light maintenance on equipment Maintain a clean, organized job site; ensure all debris is removed post-job Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE Represent Pelor Outdoor Landscape Solutions with professionalism at all times Results Job sites are efficiently and professionally prepared and cleaned Tree debris is safely processed and removed Equipment is operated and maintained per safety/performance standards Tree climbers and crew productivity are effectively supported from the ground Requirements Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required) Experience with lifts, loaders, and trailers preferred 5+ years of experience in tree care, landscaping, or grounds work Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding outdoor labor Familiarity with job site safety practices and use of PPE Clear communication skills; dependable and responsive to direction
