Description
BallenIsles Country Club is looking for a Full Time Greenskeeper who s a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do.
As a vital role to the Golf Courses and Grounds team, a Greenskeeper is responsible for the maintenance and care of the golf courses and grounds under the supervision of the Director, Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains golf course by mowing, trimming, top dressing, treating turf, maintenance of bunkers, hole changing, hedge trimming and general maintenance
- Operates golf course equipment
- Participates in daily set up of the golf course for play
- Mows greens, tees, aprons and approaches to greens, roughs, and other areas of the golf course.
- Keeps golf course maintenance equipment fueled, oiled and inspected.
Responsibilities - Maintains clean andanized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
- Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
- Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
- Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
- Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
- Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
- Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.
, the associates may be required tomunicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)
Working Conditions:
- Frequently uses hands
- Regularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls
- Frequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; to push or pull up to 100 pounds
- Regularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts,pact spaces, hot attic temperatures, and outside weather conditions
- Noise level is moderate
