As a vital role to the Golf Courses and Grounds team, a Greenskeeper is responsible for the maintenance and care of the golf courses and grounds under the supervision of the Director, Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents.

Essential Functions:

Maintains golf course by mowing, trimming, top dressing, treating turf, maintenance of bunkers, hole changing, hedge trimming and general maintenance Operates golf course equipment Participates in daily set up of the golf course for play Mows greens, tees, aprons and approaches to greens, roughs, and other areas of the golf course. Keeps golf course maintenance equipment fueled, oiled and inspected. Responsibilities Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Education and Experience Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e., the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)
