$28.3K – $31.9K a year 4 hours ago Qualifications Groundskeeping High school diploma or GED Landscaping Entry level Full Job Description The Groundskeeper is responsible for the maintenance and appearance of the hotel’s outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, walkways, parking lots, and recreational areas. This role ensures the property remains safe, clean, attractive, and in excellent condition for guest enjoyment and staff use.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain all landscaped areas, including mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, and fertilizing lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds Monitor and maintain irrigation systems, reporting and repairing malfunctions Pick up litter and debris from parking lots, sidewalks, lawns, and common outdoor areas Sweep, blow, or pressure wash walkways, patios, pool decks, and entryways Maintain outdoor furniture, fixtures, and signage by cleaning and performing minor repairs Assist in the setup and breakdown of outdoor events or activities Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and golf carts Apply pesticides or herbicides as needed, following safety regulations and hotel procedures Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or suspicious activity to management promptly Assist engineering and maintenance teams as needed during inclement weather (e.g. storm prep/cleanup) High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and equipment safely Basic knowledge of plants, turf management, and irrigation systems Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness and upkeep Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed
