JOB DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, provides grounds maintenance on City property and rights-of-way. Maintains, inspects and installs the necessary culverts, curbs, drains and waterways to protect citizens and property from runoff storm damage.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED. Requires the equivalent of one (1) year of experience performing grounds or structural maintenance in adverse conditions. Drainage construction or maintenance experience is desirable. Ability to possess and maintain within the first six months of employment a Florida DOT approved (intermediate) level traffic control qualification. May be asked to acquire and maintain a Limited Certification for Urban Landscape Commercial Fertilizer and Limited Lawn and Ornamental License for pesticide application. Ability to be contacted by telephone for call-out after hours. Requires a valid Florida CDL Class B license with air brake and tanker endorsements to be obtained within twelve (12) months of date of hire. Call Human Resources with questions at 727-369-0633.
