$32.2K – $37K a year 2 days ago Qualifications Mid-level High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Organizational skills Landscaping 2 years Horticulture Full Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Carry out diverse skilled activities involving the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Perform maintenance duties assigned by the superintendent on the golf course. Using knowledge and skills in horticulture to design and implement large and small landscaping projects. Offer assistance in the maintenance and repairs of turf areas and irrigation systems. Work with diverse machines and equipment, such as reel mowing and rotary mowing equipment edgers, weedwhackers, tractors and loaders. Guarantee adherence to safety practices and principles, and to the relevant Federal, State, and Local codes. Ensure the maintenance of equipment and tools in a clean, secure, and appropriate working condition. Ensure proper use, care and inventory of company vehicle, equipment and tools assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Training and experience in golf course maintenance, horticulture and lawn maintenance. Ability to interpret and follow instruction and to work independently or on a team. Ability to effectively accomplish diverse skilled work in the repair and maintenance of facilities. Ability to carry out operations safely and efficiently; utilize diverse assigned appliances and tools. Must have valid drivers’ license and complete pre-employment background check. Education and Experience A High School Diploma or G.E.D certificate with two or more years of progressive and practical experience in at least one or more of the skilled trades previously described. Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, able to work with shovels, rakes and other hand and power tools. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
