Role:
As a Senior Landscaping Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing and supervising high-quality landscaping services for city, county, state, or federal properties. You will ensure all work complies with government contract requirements, safety standards, and schedule deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain government landscapes: mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, and debris removal Operate commercial-grade equipment: Dixie Choppers, zero-turn mowers, Stihl trimmers, edgers, blowers, etc. Follow specifications outlined in government contracts and complete work to exact standards Assist with site inspections and quality control checks Ensure job site safety and cleanliness Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Support or lead small crews as needed (management experience preferred but not required)
Requirements:
5+ years of professional landscaping experience (required) Minimum 1 year working on government or municipal landscaping contracts (required) Ability to read, understand, and execute landscaping SOWs (scope of work) Comfortable working outdoors in Florida conditions Must pass a background check and drug test Reliable transportation to job sites Valid driver’s license preferred CPR Training is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior crew leader or supervisory experience Knowledge of Florida native plants and seasonal care schedules Experience reporting hours, job completion logs, or inspection readiness
