⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Landscaping & Hardscaping Labor Crew Member (Richmond Hill) Elmgren’s Services 30 Cherokee Street near Off Hwy 144 compensation: Competitive pay (based on experience) employment type: experience level: entry level job title: Landscaping & Hardscaping Labor Crew Member Elmgren’s Garden Center is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join our Landscaping and Hardscaping Crew. This hands-on role involves physical outdoor work, including the installation and renovation of hardscapes, irrigation systems, and plantings. Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain landscaping features, including flowers, shrubs, trees, sod, and mulch
- Construct and renovate hardscapes such as stone pathways, patios, ledges, and retaining walls
- Assist with the installation of sprinkler systems and outdoor lighting
- Operate machinery and equipment such as tractors, aerators, and other landscaping tools
- Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites
- Follow verbal and written instructions from crew leaders and clients
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and clients
- Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, pulling, and climbing throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in landscaping, irrigation, masonry, or construction (not required, but preferred)
- Experience working with pavers, concrete, and heavy equipment is a strong plus
- Prior experience in the green industry is highly desirable
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
