Irrigation Worker Shoemaker Irrigation 930 Newton Bridge Road, Athens, GA 30607 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Worker to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for golf courses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for landscape maintenance. Duties Install and maintain various types of irrigation systems, including drip and sprinkler systems. Operate power tools and hand tools to build and repair irrigation components. Dig trenches for pipe installation and ensure proper placement of irrigation lines. Regularly inspect irrigation systems for leaks or malfunctions and perform necessary repairs. Collaborate with landscape teams to design efficient irrigation layouts that meet the needs of specific garden or landscape projects. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safe and effective operation. Assist in lawn care activities, including watering schedules and landscape maintenance tasks. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to landscape work. Experience in gardening, landscaping, or lawn care is highly desirable. Ability to dig trenches and perform physical labor as required by the job.
