Preferred Qualifications 1 or more years of landscaping experience Position Summary This position is a manual labor position that provides operational support of the grounds department pruning crew. This position assists the crew with completing work assigned to the crew to include performing maintenance, structural and rejuvenation pruning of landscape plants on campus utilizing proper pruning techniques. This position assists with loading, securing and unloading landscape debris in pickup trucks, dump trucks and trailers. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Ability to operate and maintain pruning equipment
Ability to operate all types of grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment to include mowers, tractors, trimmers, edgers, backpack blowers, and skid steers.
Understand and follow specific oral and written instructions Physical Demands Lift up to 75 lbs. throughout an 8.0 hour work day.
Stand/walk for long periods of time, stoop, bend, work from a standard and extended ladder, and work with hands above head.
Perform duties under adverse weather and/or climate conditions (rain, heat and cold).
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
