JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Seasonal Organic Farm Assistant and Gardener. This hands-on role involves supporting daily farm operations, including assisting with gardening tasks and helping care for a variety of farm animals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, have a flexible schedule, and passionate about sustainable organic agriculture and animal welfare.

Gardening Duties:

Assist with planting, watering, weeding, pruning, harvesting crops, vegetables, and flowers Assist with preparation, packing, and transportation of harvests Help maintain garden beds, compost systems, and irrigation setups Support greenhouse work and seedling care as needed Use basic gardening tools and machinery safely

Animal Care:

Help feed, water, and monitor the health of farm animals (e.g., chickens, goats, donkeys, pigs, cows, etc.) Socialize with animals by grooming, walking and handling Clean and maintain animal enclosures and bedding Assist with routine health checks and report any concerns to the farm manager Support during veterinary visits when required

General Farm Support:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas Help with farm repairs, fencing, and basic equipment upkeep Participate in preparation for guests

Qualifications:

Comfortable working with animals Ability to work in outdoor environments in varying temperatures and weather environments Flexible schedule that can adapt to the needs of the farm during seasonal changes Integrity to uphold organic and sustainable practices throughout the farm Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to learn and take direction Dependable, punctual, and a good team player

COMPENSATION

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
