Landscaper/Laborer Higgins Properties Cornelia, GA 30531
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Landscaping and General Yard Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on landscaping or yard maintenance experience, excellent communication skills in English, and some college education. This role requires a proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining beautiful and functional outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and planting. Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers). Monitor plant health and report issues related to pests, irrigation, or disease. Install or maintain irrigation systems as needed. Assist with landscape design and planning. Maintain clean and safe outdoor areas on residential and/or commercial properties. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure work is completed to high standards. Follow safety procedures and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred (horticulture, environmental science, or related field a plus). Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or yard management. Proficient in spoken and written English; bilingual a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work in various weather conditions. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of local plant species and climate considerations. Familiarity with eco-friendly landscaping practices. Basic understanding of irrigation and drainage systems. Customer service experience is a plus.
