This typically involves a range of tasks, including: Mowing and trimming grass: You’ll be responsible for keeping the fairways, greens, and roughs neatly trimmed and mowed. This may involve using a riding mower or a push mower, as well as handheld trimmers.
Watering and fertilizing:
Golf courses require regular watering and fertilization to keep the grass healthy and vibrant. You may be responsible for setting up and operating sprinklers and irrigation systems, as well as applying fertilizer and other treatments as needed.
Hazard maintenance:
Golf courses typically feature hazards such as sand traps and water hazards, which require regular maintenance to ensure they are playable and safe. You may be responsible for raking and smoothing out sand traps, and ensuring that water hazards are free of debris and other hazards.
Equipment maintenance:
Golf course maintenance workers are typically responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment used on the course, such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems. This may involve performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and blade sharpening, as well as troubleshooting and repairing equipment problems.
Course cleanup:
As part of your duties, you may be responsible for picking up litter and debris, as well as removing fallen branches and other hazards that could interfere with play.
