Groundskeeper Position Available In Caddo, Louisiana

Groundskeeper Southern Components, Inc 7360 Julie Frances Dr, Shreveport, LA 71129 The SCI Groundskeeper position is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week beginning on Monday and ending on Friday with occasional work required on Saturdays. Work hours will be 6:00 AM until 2:30 PM daily unless overtime is required. The Groundskeeper will report directly to the Director of Operations. The Groundskeeper will have the following job duties:

• Mowing, edging and trimming of all SCI properties.
• Fertilizing and maintaining lawns which will include daily trash and debris removal.
• Weeding flower beds.
• Applying mulch and other ground coverings as necessary.
• Weed-eating all perimeter areas of SCI properties, around all buildings and equipment, and all parking lots as needed.
• The planting or removal of flowers, trees and shrubs as necessary.
• Applying herbicides and pesticides as necessary.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and tools.
• Preparing outdoor areas for events or special occasions
• Removing ice and snow from common walkway areas.
• Following safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ordering supplies and materials.
• Perform minor repairs on power equipment when necessary.
• Washing company vehicles when not busy with other groundskeeping duties.
• Other duties as assigned by members of management. Groundskeeper candidates must have and maintain the following requirements:
• Their own personal vehicle in good working order.
• Be in great physical condition and have plenty of stamina.
• Able to easily bend, kneel, lift, pull, or shove.
• Work in an outdoor environment with varying degrees of temperature.
• Able to operate a commercial grade zero turn mower, a commercial grade weed-eater, blower and edger.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to work independently, with very little oversight or supervision.
• Able to lift more than 75 pounds
• Able to work at heights
• Able to work around loud noises and be exposed to various non-hazardous chemicals.

This position will pay between $17.00 and $20.00 per hour depending upon experience. All candidates must have a clean driving record, a valid drivers license, be able to pass a credit and background check, and be able to pass a drug screen before being eligible to be hired.
