Groundskeeper/Maintenance St. Joseph and Felicity Plantations 3535 Hwy 18, Vacherie, LA 70090 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. Must be 18 years or older . Groundskeeper/Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the appearance and basic functionality of the property, including both exterior grounds and interior spaces. This position supports a wide range of general maintenance tasks and plays a key role in preserving our historic property. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a passion for outdoor work, ensuring that all areas and grounds are kept in pristine condition. Duties Perform regular lawn care activities including mowing, edging, and fertilizing. Maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, and trees through planting, pruning, and weeding. Pressure wash porches, walkways, and exterior surfaces Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks. Irrigate gardens and lawns to ensure proper hydration of plants. Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards. Assist in the installation of new landscape features as directed. Assist with seasonal setup/teardown of property displays and outdoor features. Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner. Support staff with general upkeep of interior and exterior spaces Skills Basic carpentry Pest awareness Safety awareness Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to groundskeeping tasks. Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices. Ability to maintain gardens, including planting, watering, and weeding. Experience in irrigation systems and their maintenance is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results in all landscaping efforts. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
