Position Overview:

As a Perennial Gardener you will work with Designer and Perennial Manager on regular garden maintenance, including planting, staking and weeding and light pruning, as well as helping to assess the needs of the garden and any other related tasks that may arise. We are very custom in our approach and use manual methods to perform gardening and landscaping work if we are able to.

A typical day will include:

Arriving to the office at 7:00 AM for the morning team meeting Helping prepare the company vehicle with what you need for the day Maintaining and/or installing client gardens by planting, cleaning, staking, fertilizing, weeding, cleaning, raking, mulching, or other techniques to achieve outcomes. Helping to assess garden health and diagnosing disease, pests, etc. Applying organic treatments and amendments as necessary Light excavation and soil amendments Providing exceptional customer service

Who You Are:

We are seeking thoughtful, caring people with a willingness to work hard and a passion for gardens. Adaptability and critical thinking is also important, because every client, town and plant has different wants/rules.

Other qualifications include:

Some experience and knowledge in plants and horticultural best practices Excellent communication and customer service skills Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks (all of us included) Ability to work at a fast pace with attention to detail and creativity Ability to lift 50lbs.
