Positions open for crew members with Buena Vista Landscaping, a small, woman owned, earth-friendly landscaping crew based in Gorham. Pay depends on ability/experience, $20 and up. Job starts immediately. Season runs April through October/November. Beginners welcome. (Solamente habla español y quiere trabajar? Requirements:
Must be athletic and strong (think digging, raking, weeding and pushing heavy wheelbarrows in hot sun or cold wind), self motivated, and enthusiastic about outdoor work with plants. This job is best for folks who enjoy heavy labor in a small, supportive team vibe, and enjoy getting sweaty outdoors with the bees and butterflies and plants that we take care of! Must have driver’s license and a good driving record. Experience driving pickup trucks preferred. Nonsmokers only. Landscaping or farming experienced preferred, but beginners also welcome. Most important are your work ethic, physical strength, and your desire to support the whole crew by working hard, cooperating, and wanting to learn. This is NOT a mow and blow crew. This is an earth friendly small company that takes pride in creative, professional, and above all ecologically beneficial garden design, installation and maintenance work. Our goal is to make beautiful gardens that are healthy habitat for the native plants, insects, and animals that need to use them to thrive.
