Gardener I Duties & Responsibilities:

Rake, edge, mulch, and add soils and amendments to gardens. Plant seeds, bulbs, plants, sods, trees, and shrubs in gardens and containers. Identify and manage weeds, pests, and diseases. Groom, deadhead, cut back, and remove plants as needed. Add and maintain plant supports. Weed and water garden beds and containers. Wash and maintain tools, trucks, and facilities. Perform other gardening duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1-3 years of experience in farming, gardening, or landscaping (or willingness to learn). Basic knowledge of plant care and gardening techniques. Physical stamina, including the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform manual labor. Valid driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits:

$18.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience. Paid time off (PTO). Sick time. Paid holidays. End-of-season bonus.

Position Details:

Seasonal (April through November).
