Part-Time Cemetery CareTaker Town of York York, ME 03909 The Town of York, a coastal community comprised of the villages of Cape Neddick, York Harbor, York Village and York Beach, is accepting applications for a part-time position of cemetery caretaker. York Parks and Recreation are looking to hire a cemetery caretaker. This is an amazing opportunity for a hard-working person who loves York History. The cemetery caretaker tracks and performs maintenance to over 220 local burial plots that either have a veteran buried in them or were established before 1880. Job duties include repairing headstones, rebuilding stone walls, mowing, pruning, removing debris, communicating with property owners and maintaining accurate records of locations and work performed. This position requires the use of technology, power and hand tools and the ability to access many of the sites that are far from a road.
