Position Summary:

The City of Fair Grove is seeking a reliable and self-motivated individual to serve as a Part-Time Seasonal Mowing Technician. This role supports the maintenance of City-owned properties by performing general mowing, trimming, and landscaping tasks. The position is under the direct supervision of the Public Works Director and contributes to the upkeep and visual appeal of city grounds and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate mowing and trimming equipment to maintain grass areas on City properties, including public right-of-ways and municipal facilities. Perform general landscaping tasks, including weed control, debris cleanup, and minor pruning. Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Assist the Public Works Department with additional maintenance tasks as directed. Follow all City safety policies and procedures. Report hazards, damage, or maintenance needs to the Public Works Director.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid Missouri driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate push and riding mowers, weed eaters, and other landscaping equipment. Basic knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping practices. Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time seasonal position; typical hours range from 15-30 hours per week, depending on weather and mowing needs. Flexible weekday hours, with occasional weekend work as needed.
