B&B Tree and Landscapes is hiring a Groundsman to assist with residential and commercial tree work across the St. Louis area. This is a hands-on, active role that supports our climbers and machine operators on tree removals, trimming, stump grinding, and site cleanups. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of the tree care industry with a reputable and growing company. Responsibilities Assist with tree removals and trimmings: Support the crew by clearing limbs and brush as trees are taken down or pruned.

Operate equipment safely:

Run chippers to dispose of branches, assist with stump grinders, and help maintain saws, ropes, and other tools.

Rope work and rigging:

Learn how to handle lowering ropes, help guide limbs safely to the ground, and communicate with climbers to ensure safe operations.

Site cleanup and organization:

Keep the job site clean and hazard-free by raking, blowing debris, and organizing gear. Load and unload tools and materials: Help prep each day’s equipment in the morning and put everything away at day’s end.

Traffic control and safety spotting:

Direct traffic or pedestrians when needed and act as the ground eyes for overhead work.

Learn the trade:

You’ll work alongside experienced tree professionals and have the chance to move into climbing, equipment operation, or crew leadership roles with time and training.
