$34.5K – $40.7K a year 19 hours ago Qualifications Mid-level High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Computer skills Associate’s degree 2 years Full Job Description The Groundskeeper maintains the natural environments and outdoor grounds of Forsyth Technical Community College. Creates and maintains safe, clean and inviting campuses for students, employees and the public.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Two (2) years in related experience and/or training Must obtain pesticide license or acquire license within one year Valid Driver’s License with a driving record in good standing
Preferred Qualifications Preferred:
Associate Degree in a related field.
Note:
Higher Ed degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a United States Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC Essential Duties Cut lawns; trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged limbs, branches, or twigs Spray lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides; rake and bag leaves Clean grounds and remove litter Shovel snow from walks and driveways Spread salt on public passage ways to prevent ice buildup Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs; water lawn and shrubs Repair fences, gates, walls, and walks Clean out drainage ditches and culverts Sharpen tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, shears, and lawn mower blades Make minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, and snow removal equipment Help set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for events and meetings Basic computer knowledge to complete training, work orders, etc. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information
