Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Lawn Maintenance Crew Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial-grade lawn equipment, particularly zero-turn mowers , and be capable of producing clean, professional results such as precise striping on large commercial properties . This role is essential to maintaining the curb appeal and quality standards our clients expect. Key Responsibilities Operate zero-turn mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers safely and efficiently. Perform detailed lawn striping on commercial properties to meet GLS quality standards. Mow, edge, and trim lawns, clear debris, and maintain garden beds. Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure it is safe and operational. Assist in seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, mulching, aeration, and overseeding. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company and OSHA safety guidelines. Communicate effectively with crew leaders and team members to complete tasks on time. Represent GLS Landscaping and Maintenance professionally on job sites and with clients. Qualifications 1+ year of experience in professional lawn maintenance or landscaping preferred. Proficient in operating zero-turn mowers and other power landscaping equipment. Ability to create aesthetically pleasing striping patterns on turf areas. Basic understanding of landscape maintenance best practices. Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work. Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift 50+ pounds. Valid driver’s license is a plus (CDL not required but a bonus). Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and maintain punctuality. Working Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Physically demanding, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Flexible hours depending on season and project demands.
