About the Role Foster Lake & Pond Management is seeking an experienced Stormwater Mowing Crew Leader to supervise a year-round crew responsible for stormwater control measure (SCM) compliance mowing and grounds maintenance. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines landscape maintenance, equipment operation, crew supervision, and clear communication with management and clients.

What You’ll Do:

Lead a crew to complete monthly and quarterly SCM mowings for stormwater ponds, retention basins, wet ponds, and bioretention areas. Document mowing dates/times and ensure all compliance requirements are met. Operate and maintain mowers (Ventrac, walk-behind decks), mini-excavators, skid steers, trailers, and related equipment. Keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean, stocked, and organized. Assist with preventative maintenance and corrective repair services when needed. Communicate effectively with the Service Manager, team members, and clients. Use company apps for time tracking, scheduling, and HR tasks. Follow all safety protocols and uphold company core values. Obtain SCM Inspection & Maintenance Professional certification and NC Pesticide Applicator License (company-supported).

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma (required); experience in stormwater SCM maintenance , landscaping, environmental services, or pond management strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with mowing slopes, heavy equipment, trailers, and general landscaping tools. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required). Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality and safety. Physically able to lift up to 80 pounds and work outdoors in various conditions. Basic computer skills for emails and documentation. Must pass a background check. Why Join Us?
