The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves performing various landscaping tasks to enhance and maintain the aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties. The Landscape Technician will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all landscaping projects are completed to the highest standards. Duties Perform tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth and aesthetics. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks. Maintain gardens by planting, weeding, mulching, and watering as needed. Conduct groundskeeping activities including mowing lawns, edging, and maintaining flower beds. Assist with hardscape installations such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Manage snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access to properties. Regularly inspect landscapes for health issues or maintenance needs and report findings. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols. Experience Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred but not required. Familiarity with operating power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other equipment is essential. Knowledge of horticultural practices related to plant care, maintenance, and landscape design is advantageous. Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions is necessary.
