JOB SUMMARY
Provides the care and maintenance of all Lincoln Learning Solutions/Client grounds, ensuring that all grounds and landscapes are in peak condition for full and productive use; performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to operate power equipment inside and outside
- Able to lift 75 pounds
- Able to work under various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license
- Act 153, Act 126, and Act 168 ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in all grounds activities.
- Participates in all mowing and maintenance of all property under Lincoln Learning Solutions’ care.
- Assure that application of herbicides and insecticides to grounds is in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Operate all grounds equipment.
- Assist maintenance department in repair and maintenance of all property in the open.
- Remove snow and ice as necessary to provide a safe environment at all properties under Lincoln Learning Solutions’ care.
- Maintains school buildings and grounds in top condition.
- Assist in promoting the safety, health, and comfort of students and employees in school buildings and grounds.
- Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance and repair projects.
- Move equipment and materials within and between buildings/properties.
- Work a variety of hours in order to perform duties.
- Perform any additional duties as needed by the Facilities Manager.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
