Tree Worker/Groundsman Summary:

The groundsman is responsible for the maintenance of all company and customer trees and shrubs, including but not limited to pruning, cabling, removing, mulching, and more. This position requires a hard-working self-starter willing to learn new skills and grow with the company. We are seeking individuals who are interested in pursuing growth opportunities with the company. The position also requires a willingness to go above and beyond for our clients and the 4 Seasons team. Experience in landscaping or tree work is preferred but not required. We offer a 12-week paid training program for all new hires. •

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience not required, but appreciated Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the position- i.e. climb ladders, lift heavy objects, move and lift objects upwards of 50 lbs., reach above shoulders, operate machinery and other relevant equipment Ability to work in all weather conditions and seasons High attention to detail and commitment to safety Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and a “go-get-’em” attitude Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug and alcohol screen

Responsibilities:

Properly shape, trim, prune, and remove trees and shrubs from the ground Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris, and/or feed brush into chipper Drive and operate trucks and heavy machinery to and from job sites and storage locations Lower branches using industry-approved techniques Utilize a variety of industry approved knots Safely operate and maintain a variety of power tools and ground equipment, such as chainsaws, hand tools, chippers, mini track loader, aerial bucket lift, and chip trucks Enforce important safety practices that protect employees and the public from hazards on the jobsite (i.e. direct traffic, use of PPE) Participate in occasional company-hosted activities and events such as meetings, team building, community service, and training opportunities

$15.50 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
