What will I do in this role with Garden Spot? Performs equipment maintenance, adjustments, and repairs to include: sharpening mower blades, oil changes, cleaning, belt changes, etc. Mows all turf areas. Plants trees, shrubs, flowers, bulbs, and seeds turf. Spray herbicides and pesticides on turf and bed areas under direct supervision of the supervisor. Trims walkways and mulches beds. Prunes and trims trees, shrubs, and flowers. Assists with snow removal. What do I need for this role with Garden Spot? Must be 18 years or older. Familiarity with and the ability to operate all ground equipment. Possesses basic mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance. Assists with special events or functions that are held on the campus. Exercises good judgement, work independently, follow directions well, and cooperate well with others. Must be available on an on-call basis through the winter season for snow and ice removal responsibilities. Must be willing to work in extreme hot or cold seasonal weather.
