Cemetery Groundskeeper 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Ambler, PA 19002 Seeking reliable, hardworking candidates for a 1st Shift, temp-to-perm, Cemetery Groundskeeper position available immediately in Ambler, PA!! The position provides overall grounds and maintenance service conducive to provide burial, landscaping, and burial marker installation services.

Job Responsibilities may include:

Assist in performing openings & closings for burials, entombments, and inurnments Operating a mower, weed eater and blower Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers Handles and completes work orders from client families as it pertains to individual grave and marker maintenance Responds to and completes requests for service/work orders Conducts 25-foot radius preparation for burials and ensures the area is clean and neat Fills grave, tamps, seeds or sods Adheres to all Company safety rules and Universal Precautions Maintains a clean and orderly work area Performs all other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

Acceptable driving record and applicable license(s) to operate equipment/vehicles High School degree or equivalent Minimum of six (6) months experience operating standard equipment Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment, including, but not limited to a shovel, pick, rake, sledgehammer, lawn mower, weed trimmer, leaf blower, chain saw and pump Ability to operate mechanical equipment Ability to accurately use measuring devices Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates, contractor personnel and client families Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Pre-employment drug test and background required (testing does not include THC).

Work Conditions:

Work indoors or outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions

Work Hours:

40+ hours a week – normally 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, unless otherwise requested. Saturdays and Sundays may be requested or required! Pay rate is $17.00 per hour, may increase upon full time hire.
