$36.2K – $46.2K a year 8 hours ago Qualifications Schematics English Mid-level Math Full Job Description Landscape and Irrigation Technician The ideal candidate for this position would be to perform a new installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. They will have the ability to install plants, sod, and ground cover to new and existing landscape projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate power equipment and hand tools to install, maintain and repair irrigation systems and related components, including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, control panels, valves, pumps, etc. Install new and repair existing irrigation systems, including aiding in all aspects of landscape projects. Checks irrigation systems for proper operation and timing. May participate in the design or modification of new or existing systems. Performs seasonal maintenance such as system audits and adjustments. Maintains the inventory of related parts and supplies. May lead workers on irrigation projects and work on other ground related assignments as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Understand and follow safety protocols as defined by operator’s manuals and supervisors. Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and irrigation system methods, design, installation, and maintenance. Ability to read plans, schematics, and drawings. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to operate equipment such as trenching machines and digging tools, and other related grounds/ landscaping equipment. Ability to read and write in English and possess good math skills. Ability to lead and direct the work of others. Ability to work safely and efficiently.
