Landscape Technician 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Dataw Island, SC 29920 The Landscape Attendant will perform a variety of landscape and maintenance work in medians, rights-of-way, open spaces, and other landscaped areas on Dataw Island. Plant and maintain ornamental shrubs and trees. Trim and feed shrubs and trees; remove cuttings. Maintain landscape beds around clubhouse and club grounds. Rake and blow leaves. Mow grass areas, medians and rights-of-ways. Prepare and lay sod. Loads and unloads materials. Digs holes and trenches to maintain or construct irrigation and drainage lines. Empties garbage cans. Observe safe work methods and safety precautions related to all work sites. Assist with all duties required by the Director of Landscape. Qualifications The ability to lift and carry at least 30 pounds, and to sit, stand, kneel and walk for long periods, is required Qualified applicants will be comfortable working outdoors for long periods in varied weather conditions Applicants must be comfortable with the regular use of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes Some previous experience as a landscaper is strongly preferred, but not required Experience operating powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, leaf blowers, chainsaws preferred Successful pre-employment background check Excellent benefits packages for full time employees to include, health, vision, dental, short term/long term disability, 401(k) with employer match, free golf play, holiday and vacation pay. .
